The flag of the Sultanate of Oman is rectangular, and the ratio of length to width is about 3:2. It is composed of red, white and green. The red part forms a horizontal "T" pattern on the flag surface. The upper right side is white, and the lower side is green. The upper left corner of the flag is painted with a yellow Oman emblem. Red symbolizes auspiciousness, is the traditional color favored by the Oman people; white symbolizes peace and purity; green represents the earth.
